Catching up...

It has been a good weekend- Go Patriots! You can be sure I will be hurrying home after worship Sunday afternoon to see the last half of the game!

I was glad to finish up the week long Bible study course in Guayacanal- it made for a long week but it was well worth it.  We got to share and talk about putting our faith in action and how to live on a daily basis for the Lord. Please continue to pray for those folks- I think a good group of them will be baptized soon.

I was in Santo Domingo yesterday, had an orientation meeting regarding our new strategy and my new role. It is exciting to dream about the future. I have to admit- right now I am pretty whipped- my mind has been racing with new ideas and trying to get some things in place and yet still dealing with an already full schedule!  It has been a long two weeks!

Please be in prayer this week- we have our national convention when we will share our new personnel configuration and how we are working to support our national convention's mission strategy. It promises to be a very exciting time. I hope to have many informal meetings with various leaders to get the ball rolling on some new initiatives as well.  I appreciate your prayers in all this.

Also, please pray that God would provide quickly new leadership for my three churches and the mission in Guayacanal. Although I won't "leave" them, I do need to get them into the hands of someone very soon because I am going to be traveling quite a bit these next few months and having volunteer groups in (already scheduled groups!).  Obviously we won't allow them to flounder, so in the meantime I am carrying a double load, carrying on our regular ministries and Bible studies and working on the new human needs projects and preparing to receive an additional 12-25 groups!  God, please hurry up and show us who you have to be pastors for these new churches!
