Finishing well….

Today has been a great final day of VBS and D-Now. everyone was pretty much back at full health- we had a few folks a little iffy but they hung in there. It looks like we have been able to minister to about 300 children each morning and probably 60 or so youth in the late afternoons, not including our afternoon outreaches.

Tomorrow is our gran finale- we will be doign a mission trip within a mission trip, taking the youth from Don Gregorio with us to another mission field on the other side of Santo Domingo. pray with us that not only will we make an impact on the Tres Brazos area, on Pastor Kendar’s church) but that the Don Gregorio church will be touched by the experience and continue to see ways to be on mission with God.

Only bad news of the day is that the Dominicans did indeed whup the Americanos in basketball- that’s not that bad though because we had a great exchange and share time, which is what it is all about.

    Hi Corey,
We miss you! WE can’t wait to hear about your 2nd week in the DR. We’ve been painting the outside of the house again; we saved you some areas to paint so you don’t feel left out.
    Hey Nathan,
We haven’t figured out that riddle yet! Still trying.
We’ll look forward to seeing you guys Saturday night.
    Love,
Mom, Dad, Matthew, Emily and Cosmo

My first comment is a question for CeCe…you weren’t one of the “iffy” ones I read about in the health update, were you? I’ve been praying my head off over you, two. Things are going well here in Dallas with Benj and me. Tomorrow Kelly is driving out here with her girls to have our annual pajama party. Sam Moon had surprises for all!

PLEASE don’t forget to gather all of the Mechanicsville peeps for the picture for the Local for me, OK?

I can’t wait to see you. I love you both, dearly!

So many people have been praying at home and it is so encouraging to read the blog and catch a glimpse of what has been a powerful week. Can’t wait to hear more about what the Lord has done this week in the D.R.! Blessings for a great final day and a safe uneventful journey back to Virginia. Increase the Peace!

Hey Alex - Dad and I can’t wait to see you tomorrow night. Think I need a Sandy hug. Praying that the “Iffy” club has dwindled. Dad and I are praying for your traveling tomorrow. We can’t wait to see everyone and hear how God has worked in each one of you individually and how the outreach to Tres Brazos went. Have fun at the beach in the morning. Stay safe - Love you and the whole St. Giles team. Mom
